What Elafate is

Elafate is a job-search workspace: it builds a career plan from your answers, sets your week, tracks applications, tailors resumes, answers questions through an AI coach, and can fill job-application forms you initiate through our browser extension. It is a tool that organizes and accelerates your search; the search, the applications, and the decisions remain yours.

Your account

You must be at least 18 years old (or the age of majority where you live) to use the Service. You're responsible for the accuracy of the information in your profile and for activity under your account. Keep your sign-in credentials to yourself.

Subscription, trial, and billing

• Elafate is a paid subscription: $24 per month, billed through Stripe.
• New subscriptions start with a 3-day free trial. A payment method is required to start the trial, and when the trial ends your card is charged $24 and the subscription renews monthly until you cancel.
• Cancel anytime from Settings → Billing (which opens the Stripe billing portal). Canceling during the trial means you are never charged. Canceling later stops renewal at the end of the current billing period; you keep access until then.
• Refunds: if the Service isn't what you expected, email admin@elafate.com within 14 days of your first charge and we'll refund it. Beyond that, payments are non-refundable and we don't prorate partial periods, except where the law requires otherwise.
• If we change the price, we'll tell you at least 30 days before it affects you, and the change applies from your next billing period, never retroactively.

AI-generated content

Plans, weekly tasks, resume suggestions, coach answers, and skill or company suggestions are generated by AI from the information you provide. They can be wrong, incomplete, or outdated. They are informational tools, not professional career, legal, immigration, or financial advice, and we make no promise that using Elafate will lead to interviews, offers, or employment. Review anything the Service produces before you rely on it, especially anything you send to an employer.

The autofill extension

The extension fills forms only where you invoke it. It never submits an application for you and never accepts legal terms or consents on your behalf. Reviewing a filled form and submitting it is always your act, and you are responsible for what you submit. Job boards and employer sites have their own terms; you're responsible for your use of those sites.

Acceptable use

Don't use the Service to break the law, to misrepresent your identity or qualifications to employers, to probe or disrupt our systems, to resell or scrape the Service, or to process someone else's personal data without their permission. Elafate also deliberately declines to support certain targets: for example, it won't recommend employers on our ethical blocklist or build plans toward illegal or harmful work. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

Your content and ours

Your content stays yours: your answers, resumes, notes, and messages, and the resumes and plans generated for you, are yours to use however you like. You give us the limited license we need to store and process that content to run the Service for you, and nothing more. The Service itself (its software, design, and branding) belongs to us.

Copyright complaints

Only upload material you have the right to use. If you believe something on Elafate infringes your copyright, email admin@elafate.com with: the work you own; the material you say infringes it and where it appears; your name, address, phone number and email; a statement that you believe in good faith the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent or the law; and a statement, under penalty of perjury, that your notice is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for them, with your physical or electronic signature. We remove material that infringes, and we close the accounts of people who infringe repeatedly.

Ending the relationship

You can stop using Elafate and cancel your subscription at any time. You can delete your account yourself from Settings › Account, which erases your data and cancels any active subscription immediately — deleting mid-period does not refund the remaining days, and it cannot be undone. You can still email admin@elafate.com instead if you prefer (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these terms; if we terminate without cause while you have paid time remaining, we'll refund the unused portion.

Disclaimers and limits on liability

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities, lost profits, or lost data, arising from your use of the Service; and our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.

Governing law and changes

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If we make material changes to these terms, we'll update this page and its date and notify you in the product or by email; continuing to use the Service after a change takes effect means you accept it.
